🐉 If you missed out on our Dragon Boat Festival Family Event, here's your golden opportunity! We're thrilled to announce a special collaboration with Aunty Jenny from Cooking with Jenny Melbourne for an unforgettable drop-off workshop at Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre!

🚣‍♀️ Join us on for an immersive experience designed for children aged 7 to 12. Under Aunty Jenny's expert guidance, kids will be making 2 rice dumplings (Zongzi), learning about the ingredients, the process and the stories behind the Dragonboat Festival. They will also be sewing cute "rice dumpling bags" and reading stories in English and Mandarin, as well as completing activity sheets to reinforce their understanding of the traditions and festival.

But it's not just about the activities; it's about immersing children in the stories and traditions that make the Dragon Boat Festival so special. Throughout the workshop, they'll uncover the fascinating legends behind the festival and gain a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture and heritage.

Spaces are limited, so don't delay! Secure your child's spot now for 2.5 hours of culinary delights, creative exploration, and cultural immersion at Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre. Let's make memories together at this one-of-a-kind Dragon Boat Festival workshop! 🌟

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the many lands on which we meet, work and live, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present - people who have sung their songs, danced their dances and told their stories on these lands for thousands of generations, and who continue to do so.
