After a successful and joy-filled run in Melbourne, The Great Kueh Picnic is coming to Sydney with the support of the Singapore Global Network (SGN)! 🇸🇬💛

Imagine a long picnic table filled with colourful ondeh ondeh, kueh lapis, ang ku kueh, kueh salat, kueh kosui and kueh dadar — shared between families, stories and laughter.

We’re bringing our Singapore-style take on the viral cake picnic trend to Sydney, creating a beautiful tok panjang of kueh where families can gather, discover and enjoy traditional treats together.

Bring along your favourite kueh — whether homemade, store-bought, or from a local maker — and help us build a vibrant community table celebrating one of Singapore’s most beloved food traditions.

✨ What to Expect

🍰 The Great Kueh Tok Panjang

A long communal table filled with colourful kueh contributed by families and local makers.

Each participant may enjoy about 8 pieces (or more depending on overall supply) of kueh in the first tasting round.

If there’s plenty to go around, we’ll happily open another round — because sharing food is always more joyful together.

🎨 Craft & Keepsake Activity

Children will create their own mini kueh capsule keychain to bring home.

🎲 Nostalgic Kampung Games

Enjoy classic childhood games like:

* Pick-Up Sticks

* Chapteh

* Eraser Battles

🍽️ Food & Sharing

Entry is free, and families are warmly invited to bring a plate of kueh to share.

This could be:

* Homemade kueh

* Store-bought favourites

* Kueh from a cafe or local maker

Together, we’ll create a joyful community tok panjang filled with many different kueh varieties.

Joyful Plates will also provide a small selection of kueh so everyone has something to enjoy.

Our 8-kueh tasting system helps ensure everyone gets a chance to sample different treats while reducing food waste.
